I'm always looking for the next trend in makeup. I like to
be ahead of the curve and make sure that I'm wearing what everyone will want to
wear next year. Today, we're going to talk about how eyebrow makeup is going to
change by 2024, which means it's time to start thinking about what kind of
brows you want for yourself!
The perfect brow fill
If you're looking to create the perfect brow, we recommend
using a pencil and brush.
First, fill in the brows with a pencil that matches your hair color. Then use a brush to blend out any harsh lines and soften the edges
of your new shape. Finally, use a spoolie on each strand of hair at
the end of your brows to blend them into one cohesive unit--and voila!
You have beautiful natural-looking brows that frame your face perfectly!
Bold brows are back
They're perfect for people who want their eyebrows to stand
out, but they can also be used to draw attention away from other features. If
you have a small face and want to make it appear larger, bold brows are a great
option. If you have a large face and want to make it appear smaller or more
proportionate, bold brows will work well too.
If your face is round or oval in shape, then bolder eyebrows
can help frame the shape while making it look less circular (or oblong).
Accentuating your brows is an easy way to add some drama and shape
You can do this by tweezing the hairs in between your brows,
or you can tweeze them out completely if you want a more drastic look. To
accentuate, use a pair of sharp scissors and trim off any stray hairs that are
sticking out beyond the natural shape of your brows (but don't go crazy with
this--you don't want to make them look too thin).
If you want to keep some length on those strays or get rid
of them altogether, use an electric trimmer.
Then apply some concealer in a shade lighter than your skin
tone underneath each eyebrow followed by setting powder over top so it won't
smudge throughout the day.
Accentuated tweezing and coloring
Eyebrow pencils are a great way to start your brows, but you
have to be careful not to use too much. Using an eyebrow pencil that matches
your hair color is ideal because it'll blend with your natural shade and look
more natural than if you used a different color.
Once you've drawn on the shape of your desired eyebrow, fill
in any gaps with powder or shadow. You can also opt for a tinted gel instead of
powder or shadow if you want something more long lasting. If this step seems
too difficult for you, try using an angled brush first: apply some gel then
brush through it with a clean spooly end until all clumps are gone!
Highlighted brows attract attention
Highlighting your brows has been super popular for a few
years now, and we don't see it going anywhere anytime soon!
You can easily use any highlighting product that works for
your skin tone (if you want to go all out) or just use concealer under your
brows. It's important not to overdo this step because too much highlighter will
make you look like a clown (trust us!). One swipe should do the trick!
Microblading is dominating the scene
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that adds
definition and color to your eyebrows. It’s similar to permanent makeup, but
instead of tattooing your face with needles, the artist uses a handheld tool
with a fine blade that deposits pigment into your skin.
The treatment is particularly popular in Australia, and more
and more women are choosing to have their brows treated by experts in microblading in Sydney. One reason for this is that microblading
doesn’t require any maintenance and it doesn’t damage the hair follicle like
threading does. This means you don’t have to worry about getting your brows waxed
every three weeks or so. It can also be used to fill in sparse or patchy
eyebrows or give them more definition.
Natural brows are in trend
This is one of the biggest trends of today and will continue
to be so in 2024. It’s all about having natural looking brows that add
definition to your face without taking away from it. This means minimal filling
and grooming of your brows, with a focus on keeping them looking real and
natural. Achieving this look takes some time and effort but it can be done if you
know what you’re doing.
We hope that this article has helped you understand some of
the most popular types of brow makeup, as well as how to wear them. Remember
that there are no rules when it comes to beauty--if something looks good on
you, then it's right!
